Tuition and Registration:
The Denim Beret Writing Program

How to register:

f you decide that The Denim Beret writing courses are a good fit for your student, please follow the following three-step process to begin:

1) Download the entrance assessment below, and
have your student complete it without assistance.  Email it to me as an attachment or share it via Google Drive.

NOTE:  If you feel that your student needs to begin at a certain level and should therefore bypass the entrance assessment, you may note this on the registration form.

Entrance Assessment (all levels) -- Word
Entrance Assessment (all levels) -- Rich Text Format

2) Complete and submit the registration form at the bottom of this page.  You should receive an email from denimberet@gmail.com within two full business days.  If you don't, please check your spam folder and then email or call me directly in case of a technical error.  I never ignore registrations or emails.

3) Once we have discussed your needs and goals for your student, I will send you an invoice and set up a time for an orientation video chat.  I will also send your student a welcome packet and course schedule.

4) Following the orientation, the course will begin.

The Denim Beret correspondence courses use the following technology:
  • Google account with access to the following apps -- Gmail, Classroom, Drive, Hangout, and Meet
    • NOTE:  Because of my technical limitations and the synchronous nature of Google apps, all students must obtain a Google account and Gmail email address to work through the courses.
  • scanner or digital camera
  • webcam
  • microphone
  • printer
  • PDF Reader
Students may register before they have the required technology, but instruction cannot begin until they have it ready to use.
